Independent Living Centers (ILCs)
Independent living centers are organizations run by and for people with disabilities. Leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity of people with disabilities in all aspects of life are the goals. ILCs provide the following:
- Information and referral
- Peer interaction and support
- Development of self-advocacy skills
- Community resources and networking
