The New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) (www.nebhe.org) promotes greater educational opportunities and services for the residents of New England. In pursuit of this mission, NEBHE works across the six New England states to:
- Engage and assist leaders in the assessment, development, and implementation of sound education practices and policies of regional significance.
- Promote policies, programs, and best practices to assist the states in implementing important regional higher education policies.
- Promote regional cooperation and programs that encourage the efficient use and sharing of educational resources.

College Ready New England (CRNE)
An initiative of New England Board of Higher Education, College Ready New England (CRNE) (www.collegereadyne.org) is an alliance of leaders from K-12, higher education, business and government in all six New England states. The alliance is focused on helping the six states develop strategies to increase the economic competitiveness and well-being of the region and its citizens through expanded college participation and success. Through CRNE, New England leaders are committed to developing strategies for leveraging their collective influence to strengthen P-20 education policymaking at the state, regional and national levels. The goal: create a regional network through which best practices and policy innovations could be shared.
