Veronica LoPresti: Accessibility and Universal Design London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Para Pan Am Games

Veronica LoPresti will be presenting on whether the accessibility measures adopted at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games are influencing the measures being used at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Para Pan Am Games. Her goal is to establish whether there is a learning process that exists between the two major sport events from the perspective of both designers and users.

Veronica gained her dual master degree in international sport management at London Metropolitan University (UK) and at SUNY Cortland (NY). She has always been passionate about sport and has played volleyball for the past 14 years. She is a deep believer in team work and social inclusivity through sport. Her research areas are accessibility policies and their impact in society and safety regulations within the sport environments.
